Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Calling sports, club and community groups

The CQU Student Association will be holding a Market Day for the new intake and continuing students of CQU. 

The Market Day will be held on July 8 at CQU Rockhampton, to give students the opportunity to locate sporting, cultural, social and recreational clubs as well as community clubs of interest to them within the local community.

Local organisations, clubs, groups and societies are asked to register for a stall by June 20 by contacting the CQU Student Association on 07 4930 9656 or email association-service@cqu.edu.au or come in and see us at the Student Association Office, building 36.
