Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

VC popular as photo companion

Vice-Chancellor Professor John Rickard was a popular photo companion during a visit to CQU Sydney International Campus recently.

PhotoID:2047 Word spread about the chance to have an individual photo with the VC and 230 students lined up. The massive operation happened smoothly thanks to a team of staff members.

The photos have since been posted at the CQU SIC webpage and will be emailed to the students' families back home, along with a letter in their native language.
