Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Dr Kelso helps lead public sector ethics workshop 

CQU's Dr Robert Kelso has helped lead a workshop on ethics in the public sector, in the company of fellow Queensland Public Sector Ethics Network members Narelle George (Crime and Misconduct Commission representative) and Allan Demack (Queensland Integrity Commissioner).

The workshop entitled "Reflections by the Integrity Commissioner and Ethics: Think globally, act locally" was presented to 20 attendees.

Dr Kelso presented the outcomes of research he is conducting into public officials' perceptions of good governance.

QPSEN is a peak body, which meets to discuss legislation and regulations and to develop approaches for the public sector.
