No need to wait for degree entry

Need a qualification that's going to give you skills to progress into the next level at work?  Considering university study but never finished high school?  Or perhaps you're a high school student pondering studying uni subjects as part of your Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE)?

If these are questions you've asked yourself this year, you'll be pleased to know you don't have to wait until next year and you don't necessarily need to have completed year 12, to start studying at CQU Mackay in July this year.

Commencing study in July is known as a ‘Mid-year' intake and practical work experiences along with qualifications like those obtained at TAFE, might be all you need to start study in your area of choice.

The range of programs on offer are tailored for a range of different student types.  These include, those who have not have completed high school;  working professionals; school leavers and in the case of the SUN (Start Uni Now!) program;  year 10, 11 or 12 students.

Graduate Certificates, for example; can be used for professional development for those already working and are conveniently studied part-time, and swiftly completed within a year.

School leavers; or those wanting to launch themselves in a new career, can consider a range of Bachelor programs.

STEPS is also accepting students who might be hesitantly returning to study after some time, and year 10, 11 or 12 students can give uni a go by enrolling in a SUN course at a heavily discounted rate.

So whether you are a school leaver ready to hit the books again or if you're progressing nicely through the management ranks at work and just need some extra tools in your tool box, CQU Mackay is available for advice on your next step and how to gain entry for a July start.

Call us at Mackay campus on 4940 7808 for more information.  Alternatively, come and see Michelle and Claire at Caneland Central on Thursday and Friday May 22 and 23, or come along to a Mid-year entry information session on Monday May 26 at CQU Mackay.
