13-year-old flies through Aviation course at Uni

Home-educated Georgia Wyldbore, of Brisbane, has completed the first course of CQUniversity's Aviation Technology degree before most students her age finish grade 8.

With a former airline pilot father and former flight attendant mother, Georgia certainly has the pedigree to succeed.

Adding to her interests in gymnastics, Girl Guides, violin and dancing, the Bellbowrie girl's latest interest is taking Aviation Theory 1 through CQUniversity and SNAP (Single Non-Award Program).

Bachelor of Aviation Techology degree senior lecturer Ron Bishop says "the amazing part is that she signed up at 12 years of age".

"She's now 13 and has completed the first course of the Aviation Technology degree," Ron says.

"Being home-educated makes it a perfect match; being able to complete her assignments online and getting Queensland Certificate of Education points for the course, along with entry into the Aviation degree program due to completing the course successfully.

"Her parents are very supportive and Georgia is an excellent student; I expect great things from her in the future."
