Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

CQ Harmonising

Livingstone Shire invites CQU staff and students and their families to participate in Livingstone’s Harmony Project, a youth art competition open to anyone under the age of 25. Participants may enter any number of artworks that celebrate the cultural diversity of Livingstone Shire. Entries must be received by 14 March. Harmony Day is marked nationally on 21 March and coincides with the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
