Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Connors Strikes Chord with Conservatorium Students

One of Australia's leading recording stars, Graeme Connors, passed on tips about lyric writing to students at Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music in Mackay.

PhotoID:65 Connors, who has just released his latest album 'This Is Life', spent four days with the students in early April. In May, his Conservatorium Theatre concerts will be recorded for a DVD release.

Connors is a CQCM industry mentor.
