Published on 01 April, 2010
CQUniversity's Director of Development and Graduate Relations, Suzi Blair had the chance to dine with 4 of our Malaysian MBA graduates when she attended the Council for Advancement and Support of Education Asia Pacific Advancement Conference in Kuala Lumpur.
Her dinner guests included:
Wong Nyuk Lian (Senior Manager - Customer Service - Maakl Mutual) - Graduate Diploma of Management 2002 & MBA 2003
Neoh Chiaw Kheng (Director for Aqua Synergy Discus Farm) - Graduate Certificate of Management 2002, Graduate Diploma of Management 2002 and MBA 2003
Raymond CK Tan (Director - Global Supply Management for Spansion) - Graduate Diploma of Management 2002 and MBA 2003
Jimmy Lim (Business Consultant - Trime Management) - Graduate Certificate of Management 2002, Graduate Diploma of Management 2003 and MBA 2006
She was pleased with feedback from the quartet, who all stated how helpful their MBA qualifications and experiences had been in career progression, which has been key to their success, along with the network of professional contacts and friends their university experience provided. Since completing their degrees at the Hartford Malaysia Study Centre (HTM), all graduates have stayed in regular contact and have a close business relationship.
The increased number of contactable alumni throughout all parts of the world, presents a great opportunity for staff and alumni to connect with each other while travelling overseas, which assists with building stronger alumni networks. "We'd appreciate our staff and alumni who travel internationally helping us connect with CQUniversity graduates while they're on their travels. It's always great to meet local people when you are travelling and our international graduates really appreciate the connection with the University staff and other graduates" said Graduate Relations Manager, Jo Nitz.
