CQUni to show Japanese flick at film night

CQUniversity's Film and Arts Mackay (FAM) will hold their monthly film night on Friday, April 5 at 7.30pm the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music (CQCM).

FAM will be showing Japanese film I Wish, a drama about two young brothers, separated when their parents divorced, who dream of reuniting.

The film is an unhurried insight into the worlds of the two brothers. It is filled with wonderful details of the different lives, they, their friends and relations lead. Beautifully photographed, it is an unsentimental story of a childish yearning for the way things used to be.

A warm, funny and touching story that shows the gentle, personal aspects of Japanese society. All lovers of Japanese cinema should be enthralled by this delightful film.

A complimentary beverage and light supper will be provided. Entry fees are Library Society members $8 Non-members $12. Library Society and Gold Membership is available for only $25 per year.
