Students fast-track their degrees

Nearly a third of students studying at Central Queensland University Rockhampton are fast-tracking their degrees over the traditional end of year period, according CQU Marketing Manager Eamon Coll.

PhotoID:351 “Out of the 3500 students enrolled at the Rockhampton Campus, close to 950 students have enrolled in the Spring/Summer terms,” Mr Coll said.

The Spring/Summer terms have been offered at CQU since 1998 enabling students to complete some degrees up to a year faster than the scheduled timeframe.

“The Spring/Summer terms have proved a popular choice for many students, particularly in Rockhampton,” Mr Coll said.

“There are programs in each Faculty at CQU that can be fast-tracked which makes CQU a popular choice for both school leavers and mature age students.

Students have until today, Friday 8 November, to enrol in courses for the Spring/Summer term.
