Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

All welcome as Mackay nursing students share experiences in Nepal 

All interested people are welcome to attend a FREE public forum on 'Health in Nepal - A Student Learning Experience', from 5.30pm on Thursday February 25 at CQUniversity Mackay's Cook Lecture Theatre.

Nursing and midwifery students who recently returned from Nepal will describe their life-altering experiences and exhibit photos and artefacts from their trip to one of the world's poorest nations.

Participants can hear about the students' impressions of the geographic area, the cultural diversity, the people, the language barriers, medical experiences and what they did to improve the health practices of the Nepalese people.
