Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Educational leadership workshop in Rockhampton 

Renowned educator Professor Brian Caldwell will visit Rockhampton on July 21 to deliver a full-day workshop based on his latest book entitled ‘Re-imagining Educational Leadership’.

The workshop will be held at Rockhampton Leagues Club.

Professor Caldwell is Managing Director of Educational Transformations Pty Ltd and Professorial Fellow at the University of Melbourne where he served as Dean of Education from 1998 to 2004.

He is A Fellow of the Australian College of Educators and was awarded the College Medal in 2005. He serves as Associate Director Global of International Networking for Educational Transformation (iNet) of the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust in England.
