Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Campus shave boosts Leukaemia Foundation 

CQUniversity Student Association marketing officer Kerry Parsons has praised support for the World's Greatest Shave event held on Rockhampton Campus this week (March 31).

"Thank you to everyone who attended the event and donated money for The Rockhampton Leukaemia Foundation," Kerry says.

"Today we raised $398 bringing my current total to $910.75! Donations from coffee purchases is also over $200."

The remaining items donated will be part of a raffle located at Fresh Food From Kellyn's, from Tuesday April 6, and will be drawn on Thursday April 29. Raffle tickets are $2 each.

Donations can also still be made by visiting the freshly shaved Kerry in the CQUni Student Association Marketing Office (at building 36) or at Fresh Food From Kellyn's.
