Emerald shines as a Uni campus option

CQUniversity Emerald has got plenty to offer students considering tertiary study, including an attractive setting, first-class facilities and on-campus accommodation options.

But most of all it can offer great academic outcomes due to the favourable staff-student ratio, enabling more personal time with lecturers and tutors.

The campus has been operating since 1989 and now offers the first-year of the Bachelor of Business degree, the full 3 years of the Bachelor of Accounting degree and the full degree for the Bachelor of Learning Management (including Early Childhood, Primary and Secondary education).

In addition, the campus hosts students enrolled for the STEPS (Skills for Tertiary Education Preparatory Studies) bridging program and UniLink, a program designed for Year 11-12 students as an introduction to University.

Emerald can offer access to first-class technology and facilities, including library and student services. But more than this it has dedicated staff members who are committed to the success of their students.

Details about CQUniversity Emerald are available via 07 4982 8888 or 1300 360 444.

The wider township of Emerald continues to expand at a rapid rate because of a high demand for staff in mining and related industries.

This means students at CQUniversity Emerald are part of a vibrant and friendly community.

Campus Coordinator, Mrs Gai Sypher, said the introduction of increased courses at the local campus has been a work in progress for a number of years.

"CQUniversity has shown confidence in the potential of the region," she said.

"The campus boasts a new on-line computer lab, a variety of student services, and access to first class technology, library resources and modern class rooms including an auditorium.

"High quality residential accommodation is also available.  The campus is situated in the grounds of the Australian Agricultural College and is surrounded by lush parks and gardens.  All this contributes to an environment that makes study a pleasure."
