Year 10 students weave web pages at CQU Mackay

A group of Year 10 students designed and constructed web pages as one of the final tasks completed at this year’s Siemens Science Experience.

PhotoID:606 Web pages were built from still digital images and vision collected during the three-day event hosted by Central Queensland University.

CQU Environmental Science Lecturer and event co-ordinator Dr Judith Wake said the students were excited by the opportunity to show-off their science and technology activities.

“The web page allows the students to review what they’ve done during the Experience and also teaches them the skill of web page construction,” she said.

She said the variety of activities completed at this year’s event would ignite interest in students preparing for upper secondary school science studies.

Students from Ayr, Capella, Mackay, Proserpine and Sarina spent three days at CQU from January 21.
