Customers and networks on Festival agenda

Faculty of Business and Informatics staff members Noel Patson and Tony Ward were part of the CQU contingent at last week's Festival of Innovation in Rockhampton.

PhotoID:3371 Noel Patson (above right with Cliff Arnold from QR) exhibited his new way of visualising large amounts of network traffic information. His visualisation technique has been granted a provisional patent.

Associate Professor Tony Ward (below right) exhibited the capabilities of his Customer Service Predictor (CSP), which attracted much interest from several of the business visitors. The CSP was developed by CQU and is now commercially available for sale worldwide.

The 'customer' pictured with Dr Ward is Roger La Salle, a judge from 'The New Inventors', who has just published a textbook and who expressed much interest in the CSP.

The event was held last Thursday at DPI Parkhurst, with a Celebration of Innovation Dinner later at the Rockhampton Leagues Club. Mr La Salle presented a workshop on Matrix Thinking on the Friday.
