Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

CQU manager features at national marketing conference

Faculty-based Business Services Manager Jo Rees is a featured speaker for the Higher Education Marketing 2007 conference, to be held in Sydney from August 28-30.

Ms Rees, from the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Health, will speak about 'Basing Your Marketing Plan on Your Student Demography', on day one of the event (August 28).

The conference has been organised by the International Quality and Productivity Centre and is supported by the Public Relations Institute of Australia and Campus Review.
