While their classmates were cavorting on school holidays, a dozen diligent high school students made the most of the chance to canvass options on campus at CQUniversity Rockhampton...
They took part in a University Experience, designed to provide a taste of what it is like living and studying on campus.

The Experience also enables the visitors to spend intensive sessions with study and career guidance specialists. Program highlights include team building and interaction with academics from a range of fields.
The annual opportunity is tailored for teens who may not otherwise consider following a tertiary education pathway.
This year's cohort are drawn from Biloela, Dysart, Emerald, Banana, Theodore, Clermont, Gladstone and Mt Morgan.
University Experience coordinator Catherine Spencer explained that numbers were down slightly due to uncertainty about the health exclusion status of some students who had recently returned from Victoria (then the epicentre of Swine Flu in Australia).
