Last week, 70 final-year Bachelor of Learning Management (BLM) students celebrated the conclusion of their teaching degree at CQU Bundaberg.
During the celebration, students presented their final piece of assessment before enjoying afternoon tea with friends and family.
Other invited guests included local principals and teachers who supported the students with their prac placements, CQU lecturing staff and the Bundaberg Mayor, Kay McDuff.
Ms McDuff, herself a retired teacher, congratulated the finishing students and welcomed them to a noble profession.
She said it was wonderful to see such well-prepared teachers entering the teaching profession and encouraged them to make a difference in the lives of their future students.
Acting Head of Campus, Dr Helen Huntly also congratulated the students, the education lecturing staff and the friends and family whose support of the students is so vital to their success.
She also acknowledged the ongoing support of local schools and teachers who assisted with the important task of placing students for their regular periods of practice teaching.
Some students have already been offered employment for the coming year, but for now, students will be happy to have a well-deserved rest, to ready themselves for the challenges and opportunities that the teaching profession brings.
