Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Thai uni notes CQUniversity visitors 

Thailand's Mahasarakham University (MSU) newsletter has noted the recent visit by James Bell and Dr Clive Graham, representing CQUniversity.

The duo visited MSU to discuss ways that the universities may be able to work together.

The meeting included staff from the International Relations Office, as well as representatives from the Humanities & Social Science, Engineering, Education,Accountancy & Management and Nursing faculties.

According to the newsletter, "discussions were positive and we trust will lead to collaborations for the benefit of students and staff of both institutions".
