Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

High school seniors encouraged to 'engineer' career options 

High school seniors interested in CQU's Engineering Co-op Program are encouraged to explore their study options during an information night at their local campus.

The information nights are being held on Tuesday, August 22, in Rockhampton, Gladstone, Bundaberg and Mackay.

Intending participants can call 4930 9733 to register for the information nights at the Rockhampton or Bundaberg campuses, 4970 7329 for the Gladstone campus night or 4940 7582 for the Mackay campus night.

They can find out what Co-Op is all about and speak with past and present students about their experiences.

Those who register for the night will be considered for 1 of 12 $1000 scholarships available to students intending to enrol in 2007.
