CQU Press Calls Cocktails with Killen and Callinan

CQU Press is starting to make its presence felt in Brisbane.

Publisher David Myers reports that CQU Press will have a full house of 105 “and are having to turn people away” for this Friday's panel debate on the novels of High Court Justice Ian Callinan, all published by CQU Press. The panel includes Sir James Killen, former Mayor Sallyanne Atkinson, Tony Morris QC and poet/journo Phil Brown. CQU Press is in partnership for the evening with Dymocks Superbookshop at Macarthur Central. Earlier evenings this year featured former Queensland Treasurer Keith De Lacy and a panel debate on trades union in his novel Blood Stains the Wattle and Stuart Hawthorne's Kokoda Trail A History, presented for Anzac Day. For Mother's Day, CQU Press promoted Annemarie White's Women Who Win in Border's Superbookshop in the Queen Street Mall. "We'll be submitting some of these books for the Premier's literary and history book awards," says David.
