Better teaching cluster passes muster, CQUni role noted

CQUniversity is part of a five-institution consortium of universities marking a milestone for the new Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Education, a professional development option for academic staff across Australia.

After two years of lead-up, lecturers have started to enrol and begin their studies in what is a collaborative offering across the institutions.

CQUniversity's Scott Lawton is our program and course coordinator and our local implementation team has also included Leone Hinton, Marilyn Fisher and Scot Aldred.

The GCTE was formed out of a funded project by the Australian Learning and Teaching Council.  It has relied on a partnership between the University of New England, the University of Canberra, Edith Cowan University, Ballarat University and CQUniversity.

The GCTE team believes the program has been planned and implemented at a standard much higher than could be expected than if a whole course was being was being offered at a single institution.
