Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Original drama relates extraordinary day 

Rockhampton people are invited to support an original drama production staged by first year students from the Bachelor of Performing Arts program at Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music (Rockhampton Campus).

The production called 'Empty Chairs' includes drama, song and dance to tell the story of ordinary people experiencing extraordinary events.

'Empty Chairs' will be staged from 7.30pm on Thursday October 10 and Friday October 11 at East Street Entertainment Centre, with entry only $5.
