Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Aircraft innovator to be recognised at Bundaberg graduation ceremony 

Aircraft innovator Phillip Ainsworth* OAM will be recognised with conferral of the honorary award of Companion of the University, during the CQUniversity Bundaberg graduation ceremony this week...

The ceremony will be held from 5pm on Thursday, April 30, at the Moncrieff Theatre, with Acting Chancellor Jim Tolhurst and Vice-Chancellor and President Professor John Rickard officiating.

The 91 graduates attending will hear a guest address by Mr Ainsworth and will be entertained by the Bundaberg Youth Choir Vocal Ensemble and vocalist Robyn Edgar.

The Bundaberg Campus Graduation Medal will also be presented to John McKenzie - Bachelor of Learning Management (Primary) with Distinction.
