Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

CQU hosts free property presentation 

A free public presentation on the Future of the Property Professional will be held in Rockhampton (and in Mackay, Bundaberg and Gladstone by video-link) on Monday November 20 from 4.30pm.

PhotoID:3357 CQU’s Adjunct Professor of Property, Professor Terry Boyd will conduct the presentation. Professor Boyd is a registered Queensland valuer and property investor. He has extensive experience as a property professional and a senior academic.

The presentation will cover topics such as: the current property market dynamics and the impact on property professionals; the increasing emphasis on environmental and social issues, resulting in triple bottom line assessments; generational change and the profession; the impact of digital technology; future roles of the professional; and a business plan for professional practice.
