CQU features on primetime TV in Indonesia

CQU will feature on primetime 'student' TV in Indonesia following the visit of a film crew this week.

A program called 'Cool Schools' will screen on the evening of August 13 on Indonesia's Channel G, including a 25-minute segment on CQU.

PhotoID:2316 CQU International has been working on the program as a co-sponsored government project with the Queensland Office of Higher Education.

A crew of six people from Broadcast Design Indonesia have been putting together an infotainment segment focusing on universities, colleges and other educational institutions in Australia, covering campus facilities, curriculums and the life of the student.

CQU has been able to offer two, four-week language tuition scholarships (at either our Gold Coast or Rockhampton campuses) in conjunction with the airing of CQU's edition of 'Cool Schools'.

A website has been set up for the promotion and will also enable the University to gather information about 'Cool Schools' viewers and their interests.

CQU staff members Lavenia James, Nadia O'Connell and Nikki Swanson will feature in the production, talking about different aspects of CQU.

PhotoID:2317 Six CQU students also helped out on the day, including some from Indonesia as well as a Fijian and a German student. The hosts interviewed the students, asking them about life at CQU.
