Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

McDougall throws himself into the 'deep end'

Infocom’s mathematical expert Dr Rob McDougall, from CQU Computer Science, will feature on ‘The Deep End’ next week on ABC’s Radio National.

PhotoID:2098 Dr McDougall will present on ‘The Deep End 5’, where he will count down each day, the top ‘5 numbers we can’t live without’.

“I chose 0, 1, pi, e and i, tell a little of why each of them is wonderful, building up to one of the most beautiful equations yet uncovered.".

The program airs Monday to Friday at 2.20pm.

"It’s a bit of fun really – if you love mathematics, then the chance to wax lyrical about it should not be overlooked.".
