Rocky hosts European expert visitors this week

Rockhampton is hosting a range of international expert visitors from Sweden, England and France this week, thanks to initiatives involving Central Queensland University.
Rockhampton health workers, especially midwives and nurses, are invited to a free public seminar by visiting Swedish midwifery specialist Dr Ingegerd Hildingsson. The seminar on 'The Changing Role of Midwifery Practitioners in Sweden' will be held from 1pm-2pm on Tuesday August 2 at CQU Rockhampton, Building 33, Room G.22. Dr Margaret Lepp, a senior lecturer and international student coordinator from Sweden’s Boras University, will provide a half-day workshop on ‘Drama as a Teaching Methodology’ while at CQU Rockhampton. CQU Rockhampton will this Wednesday (August 3) will host a visit by Dr Christine Harrison, Director of the Assessment Group at King’s College London, who uses assessment to help teachers enhance learning. Dr Harrison will deliver a workshop for local primary and secondary teachers. The event will be held from 2.30pm-5.30pm at CQU Rton Helene Jones Room, Building 5.
