Rain Got You Down? Be a Good Sport

Dribble, toss, spike, swing, throw, stretch, swim, run... Don’t let anything --- even this week's rain --- stand in your way of getting to and using YOUR gym, The Community Sports Centre at CQU Rockhampton.

PhotoID:121 Join the Centre for just $10 a fortnight – simply deducted from your pay. $15 a fortnight for the entire family.

And now’s the perfect time to get in. The Centre, under new management, is undergoing major refurbishment that will include new treadmills, elliptical trainers, even steppers. And did you know the Sports Centre has the ONLY outdoor heated pool in Central Queensland? You probably received an orange “CQU Staff Corporate Special” flyer in your office mail. Fill it out and return it quickly. And before you know it, you can start aerobics training, cardiovascular workouts, or developing that weight and nutrition plan you swore you were going to begin 6 months ago. We want you to come over and see what’s going on. Lunchtime sports mixed-teams are gearing up and being organized for 15-minute competitions on weekdays next month. Mondays are Netball; Tuesdays are Basketball; Wednesdays are Volleyball; Thursdays are Badminton; and it’s Friday Futsal! Get out of your chair, put the computer in “hibernate” mode, and stretch your muscles. Partner with a colleague – it make’s exercising much easier.
