His Leadership Matters presentations enabled more than 230 people around the region to see how, through leadership, everyone is capable of achieving great things.

Baines is an expert in leading teams in times of crisis and in getting results in the face of challenges.

He challenges his audiences to think differently about values-based leadership and how to make a difference through becoming true leaders.

Series coordinator Tanya Rutherford said the series was a huge hit with University staff and local community and business people.

"Hosting community and leadership focused events on campus for the local community is just one way CQUniversity is following through on its commitment of community engagement."

She said Baines was a fantastic choice for the University's inaugural leadership series with many participants praising his approach to leadership and presentation style.
