Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Rail CRC launches new website 

Rail CRC, headquartered at CQU Rockhampton, is pleased to launch a new and improved website to capture the research achievements of the past 5 years.

This is for the benefit of the Centre's industry participants and the Australian rail industry as a whole.

It incorporates comprehensive information about Rail CRC's research program, the progress and status of research projects, Rail CRC's existing and planned postgraduate courses, new techologies and products under development by Rail CRC researchers and research achievements which will benefit the rail industry.

The site also incorporates appealing design and imagery which captures the essence of the Australian rail industry and the rail research underway in the nation's premier rail research centre, as well as more user-friendly navigation for all users.

For the general website visitor, all of Rail CRC's news and publications are available for review, including Rail CRC Rail Research Express newsletters, annual reports, media releases and the latest Rail CRC events.

For Rail CRC participants, the Members Area offers a more targeted and informative research area, which includes project management information for steering committee members, industry reports, cost-benefit analyses of Rail CRC research and a comprehensive, searchable rail industry library which incorporates more than 3000 documents on rail engineering.

Rail CRC participants who previously had access to the old Rail CRC website will be able to log-on to the new site with their old username and password details, while participants wishing to gain access to the site can apply for membership site by completing a short membership application form at http://www.railcrc.com.au/members/ .
