Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

CQUni academic looks forward to NHMRC panel experience 

CQUniversity's Professor Naomi Rogers will gain a great insight into the project funding review process as a panel member for the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) review panel during August...

Prof Rogers, who is a sleep and fatigue specialist based at Rockhampton Campus, says she will be able to pass on feedback on the panel process to other CQUniversity researchers after completing her panel role.

This will be a busy year for Prof Rogers who is the first regionally-based President for the Australian Society for Medical Research (ASMR). She will be undertaking a national tour with other ASMR representatives in this capacity.

Prof Rogers will also visit Canberra next Thursday in her ASMR capacity for post-budget briefings.
