All mentors were praised for their dedication in helping first-year students settle into tertiary life.

CQU's Student Mentor program is designed to help new students through their first-year of study by assigning them a second or third-year student mentor.

Throughout the year, first-years have a mentor to go to for guidance or assistance on any issues they might be having.

Dr Trevor Davison, Head of CQU Mackay Campus, presented the awards to the students and praised the efforts of all mentors.
