Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Alumni now have free access to electronic databases 

The University is delighted to launch access to electronic research databases for its graduates, free of charge.

After one year of coordination between the Library, Information Technology and the Office of Development and Graduate Relations, our alumni can access the following databases:

  • EBSCO Megafile
  • Informit (Australian content)
  • ScienceDirect

"Research indicates access to electronic databases is the most sought after alumni benefit and it gives the University great pleasure to be able to provide this benefit to graduates," said Graduate Relations Manager, Jo Nitz.
