Warm welcome for Indian officials at Gold Coast and Brisbane

CQU's Gold Coast and Brisbane international campuses recently hosted the Acting High Commissioner of India to Australia, Mr Vinod Kumar, along with the Hon. Consul of India to the state of Queensland, Professor Sarva-Daman Singh.
Mr Kumar made the visits in the spirit of being open and accessible to Indians who are visiting Australia.

The visitors had formal and informal meetings with staff and students, toured the facilities and had the opportunity for briefings on the campus management relationship and the small class format fundamental to student progression.
Both Mr Kumar and Professor Singh commented on the ambience at Gold Coast, and the cheerful and relaxed atmosphere among staff and between staff and students.
At Brisbane, Professor Singh spoke highly of the campus' new LSU (Learning Skills Unit) coordinator, Julie Hilton, who is one of his PhD students studying Indian history at the University of Queensland.
Both visitors had the chance for relaxed conversations with campus representatives over meals at local restaurants.
