The CQUniversity Rockhampton Cup on Wheels event is a great partnership for the University because of its connections with the club and the sport. Cycling is such a important sport in Rockhampton that has produced some Olympic and Commonwealth champions.

The University has been involved with the Cycling Club through its talent identification program (TID). The TID has identified several youngters who had previously not considered the sport, and who have since gone on to win numerous medals at a state and national level.  CQUniversity researchers have a long history of partnering with the Club, through the TID research and research into cycling performance, and this a great example of CQUniversity linking with local industry.
