Book launched in Sydney

CQU Press launched the fourth novel of High Court Justice Ian Callinan, 'Appointment at Amalfi', at CQU Sydney International Campus on Friday November 14.
The launch speaker was one of the most eminent judges in Australia, Justice Roddy Meagher of the Appeals Court. Campus director Dr Doug Hinchliffe hosted the event.
Guests included Andrew Peacock and his Texan wife, Lady Ollie, Dame Leonie Kramer (former Chancellor of Sydney University), Professor David Flint, many high court and supreme court judges, some of the most powerful firms of solicitors and senior barristers in Sydney, the chairman of Christie's auctions and the senior staff of Quadrant etc.
As MC Professor David Myers told the legal guests about the business and para-legal studies curriculum at CQU-Sydney and introduced our CQU-legal teaching staff.
$3,000 worth of books were sold at the function.
CQU Press will launch the book 'No Holds Barred', the life story of TWU President Hughie Williams on Saturday December 6. Premier Beattie will launch the book at Suncorp Stadium.
