Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

CQU invited to Bastille Day Dance 

CQU students and staff are invited to the annual Bastille Day Dinner Dance hosted by the Alliance Frangaise of Central Queensland.

The dance will be held on 13 July, at Kershaw House, 2 Glenmore Road, Rockhampton.

The evening will feature three courses of fine French cuisine and a complimentary glass of champagne and canapis will be served on arrival.

Entertainment will include traditional French party dancing, games and singing, as well as a few performances by invited guests. Guests are invited to wear after five wear.

Tickets are on sale at ‘Health and Harmony’ at 41 Denham Street, Rockhampton, until 9 July. Cost per person is $50.00. Tickets will not be sold at the function.
