Uni and high school partner for technology teaching

CQU Bundaberg is working in partnership with Bundaberg High School to further develop the teaching of technology.
As part of the University’s Technology Curriculum and Pedagogy course, Bachelor of Learning Management (BLM) students are accessing technology equipment used at the school to enhance their understanding of the Technology Practice and Technology syllabus.
The secondary students, along with the BLM students, are producing carbon dioxide cars, hydraulic dogs, water-powered rockets and chocolates. The carbon dioxide cars and the chocolates are using current industrial technologies that use CAD programs. Some students are also using ProDesktop (version 8) software for design work.
The BLM students are also working towards the success of Discover CQU, an information evening for CQU Bundaberg, on August 18. As an element of their assessment, students are 'working technologically' to bring the Bundaberg community in touch with the University, its programs and its environment.
