Water info flooding CQU

Water metres, leaks, recycled water, Fitzroy River management and more... A river of information on water flooded CQU Rockhampton, where the 31st annual Queensland Water Industry Operations Skills Workshop was held this week..

PhotoID:3179 Staged at the CQ Sport Centre, the workshop gathered hundreds of professionals to talk about and review water issues and the latest technical and operational advances in the water industry from research bodies, government agencies, suppliers and trade consultants. Among the featured guests was CQU researcher Ben Kele, who spoke Thursday about how wastewater is treated and reused.

Kele has developed a unique system for the treatment of wastewater and effluent. It uses a mixture of biological treatment systems and reuses effluent through a self-contained underground recirculating system.
