"My fiancé Iain is very proud, he was the one pushing me along to get it finished," says Ms Jackson.

The CQU Gladstone graduation ceremony will be held at the Gladstone Entertainment Centre at 6:30 pm on Thursday May 24.

There will be a graduate procession along Goondoon St from Kullaroo House to the Entertainment Centre prior to the ceremony and residents are asked to line the street to congratulate the graduates as they process to the ceremony.

Sarah moved to the human resource field after being inspired by the level of HR management in the hospitality industry where she worked as a chef.  She now works as a human resource officer at Queensland Alumina Ltd, a position she secured through the company's graduate employment scheme before she completed her studies.

"QAL called for graduates so I applied and got the position about 2 weeks before I completed my studies," said Ms Jackson.

While Sarah hasn't ruled out postgraduate studies, she is happy to wait a few years before moving in that direction.
