Central Queensland University will have a louder voice in nursing education, research and policy with the appointment of two key CQU staff to the Queensland Nursing Council.
CQU’s School of Nursing and Health Studies Julie Bradshaw has been appointed as Chair of the Education Committee of the QNC for a term of three years. She will also be involved with the QNC Peer Review Panel: Pre-registration.
Dr Sandra Walker has been reappointed to the Research and Policy Committee of the QNC for a further three years.
The QNC is concerned with a range of issues including nursing practice, research, education and registration and may make recommendations directly to the minister for health.
