Plenty of interest in rail engineering industry day
Published on 05 October, 2005
Rail research was under the microscope at a Centre for Railway Engineering industry day held in Rockhampton on Friday, September 30.
The event attracted 27 rail industry representatives from Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane, Rockhampton, Mackay and Townsville.
As well as representatives from major Australian railways, there were delegates from various rail industry supply companies and consultants, and Queensland sugar industry tramway engineers.
The event included a research update and showcased commercial-ready projects in railway engineering including track system management, train and wagon dynamics, electrical projects and rail stress management.
The industry day was timed to coincide with the conclusion of the Queensland Rail Permanent Way Conference and the RTSA Seminar, both also staged in Rockhampton.
