Uni cuts down on unwanted email

CQUniversity has launched 5 primary mailing lists to enable staff to have greater control over the content they receive via email.

CQUniversity's Information Technology Division (ITD) encourages staff to become familiar with each of these mailing lists so they can be utilised for their various purposes.

All staff are members of the CQUniversity Official list. This list has limited authorised senders from the CQUniversity executive, senior management and their nominated delegates.

For more information regarding the new email lists visit the ITD web page.
The purpose of this list is to enable authorised people to distribute content of university-wide significance regarding the conduct of official business to all CQUniversity staff.

Optional list membership is available for CQUniversity General Discussion (general@lists.cqu.edu.au), CQUniversity Academic Events (events@lists.cqu.edu.au), CQUniversity Vacancies (operated by Division of Human Resources) and CQUniversity Services (operated by Division of Facilities Management and ITD).

Provided staff are subscribed members of the lists, CQUniversity staff can post content to the CQUniversity General Discussion and the CQUniversity Academic Events mailing lists.

ITD advises that staff use a single mailing list that best supports the purpose of their communication.

For more information about using the new mailing lists you can contact ITD Client Service Centre on #9233 or via helpdesk@cqu.edu.au .
