Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Author Speaks on Tolerance 

CQU staff are invited to attend an address by Australian author, journalist and academic Donald Horne at the Old Supreme Court building, the Rockhampton City Campus, at 1pm on Friday 7 June.

Donald will speak on Tolerance: the need for a permanent liberal-democratic conspiracy.

Since the success of his best-seller, The Lucky Country, in the 1960s, Donald has been a prolific contributor and analyst of Australian society.
