Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

CQU venue for Bike Chicks 'Come and Try Cycling Day' 

A Bike Chicks Come and Try Cycling Day will be held from 10am-4pm on Sunday, May 28, at CQU Rockhampton.

PhotoID:2783 Bike Chicks is being developed by CQU staff member and representative cyclist Alex Bright and her Rockhampton Cycling Club colleague Anouska Edwards (pictured at a recent competition).

The concept has the backing of Cycling Queensland and aims to increase the number of girls and women engaging in cycling for physical activity.

The event is open to all women aged over 9 years.
