Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Students attend 'Going Home' ceremony at CQU 

A total of 31 students from 11 different countries will attend a ‘Going Home' ceremony at CQU Rockhampton on Wednesday evening (May 28).

The ceremony is for students who have completed their studies but are unable to stay in Australia for their graduation ceremony.

There are 12  full-degree students and 19 Exchange/Study Abroad or AustraLearn students expected to attend.

The students are from China, India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Vietnam, Papua New Guinea, Hong Kong, USA, Canada, Mexico and Japan.
