Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Adjunct Professor awarded by property industry 

CQU Adjunct Professor of Property Terry Boyd has been singled out as an industry leader, taking the 2006 Property Industry Award at the Australian Property Institute annual awards ceremony last Thursday evening (October 5).

PhotoID:3628 The citation for the award notes Dr Boyd's distinguished track record as a senior academic in the property field and says he has extensive international professional and business experience.

It notes he has recently given considerable guidance in the establishment of an undergraduate property degree being offered by CQU on an external basis.
