Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Students compete in Qld badminton comp 

Plant Sciences PhD student Kartik Venkatraman and Bachelor of Learning Management student Tony Widjaya have recently returned from the Queensland Open Badminton Championships.

Tony successfully entered the finals, but lost to Daniel Stephenson (11-21, 19-21).

Kartik also lost to Stephenson in the quarter finals (20-22, 25-23, 15-21).

Tony and Mase. M. C Cheng (ex-student from CQU) entered the quarter finals in the B-grade Men’s Doubles, but was unsuccessful due to injury.
